1) Choose a niche to market to.
Open up some magazines, and have a flip through them. Make a note of any markets, where there might potentially be an audience. For example, the market dog training, or the iPod case market. On their own, these markets are HUGE, in fact, they're way too big to market to properly. So, take a market, like the iPod cases example, and drill it down. Use the internet to visit forums, and websites, where more specific things are found. Like, instead of iPod cases being the major market, a much better 'niche' market would be an iPod Class 120GB in leather. THAT'S a niche market.
2) Choose a Product.
Once you've chosen your niche market, you'll need to head over to ClickBank and set up an account. Thankfully, ClickBank is free, so you can get started straightaway. Open up their marketplace, and have a look for products that fit into your niche. Be aware that ClickBank only offers digital products, so if you copied me with the iPod example, tough luck, you'll have to choose a different niche. Make sure you check that the stats of the product are good enough (i.e, that it pays reasonably OK), and visit the merchants website to see what you will actually be promoting. It's scary how many people don't do that last step.
3) Create a Website
Head over to a free website maker like Blogger.com, or my recommendation, Squidoo.com, and set up a free account with them. How to make money with ClickBank for free would only be so if you used, well, free stuff. Following their instructions, create a website. In the website, you'll want to have some pictures relating to your product, and so good quality content. What's the secret to writing good quality content? Write it like you would to a friend. Pretend that you have a friend in your target market, and write up the website to them. Offer them tips and advice, so if you were promoting a book of natural cures to people with sore throats, you might want to offer a few. You can find these on the internet.
Finally, make sure that you include some keywords, these are phrases throughout your website that are repeated enough to make the search engines look at you twice. Remember not to spam your own website though.
